American Institute Health Care Professionals‘s insight:

This video from the American Academy of Grief Counseling looks at what others consider ‘trivial loss’ other than death.  These losses are far from trivial to many although considered lesser losses by others.

The video looks at losses of career, pet, limb, and romance.  It also looks at how certified grief counselors need to address these losses to clients.

Grief counselors need to acknowledge loss of clients and see how it personally affects the person.
