Holistic Health Foods: What NOT To Buy Organic

Now a days the big buzz word in holistic health is “Organic”.     However what exactly is “Organic” and what organic foods are simply not worth the trouble?   Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation.   This is good for certain fruits and vegetables however for some like avocados, it really does not matter if it is organic or not.   This is due to the avocados thick skin.   Learn how to avoid others with this article:

Any thick skinned fruit or vegetable is save.

What Holistic Health Foods You Do Not Have To Buy Organic

You’re pretty safe with fruits and vegetables like avocados, which have a thick skin that you don’t eat. Just remember to wash the peel before cutting into them to get rid of any residue.

Hopefully this helps to clear up what holistic health foods you should be buying and which ones you do not have to.   With the price of organic produce being higher than normal produce it is good to know that you will be fine if you go the non-organic route.   Live well!
