Too much of this does not always mean a healthy child–alternative and holistic medication is growing as a choice for parents to help their children

Parents everywhere are starting to utilize alternative and holistic medications for their children, especially parents with children who have chronic conditions.  Holistic nursing has a chance to increase as this trend increases.  This trend is especially growing in Canada.

Debbie Nicholson of Allvoices writes about this increase of alternative usage of medicine in her article “Parents Turn To Aleternative Medicine For Their Children”

It has been estimated that nearly 40 percent of adults and three out of four health care workers use some form of alternative medicine.

Now it appears the practice of CAM is also on the rise for children with chronic health conditions.

In this new study Canadian researchers assessed the usage and patterns of CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) among children with chronic health conditions.
