Program in Pastoral Thanatology: The Church in the service of the sick and elderly

The Church in the service of the sick and elderly

American Institute Health Care Professionals‘s insight:

Pastoral Thanatology or care for the dying is a key element in Christian ministry.  It is a corporal work of mercy and a element of Christ’s teachings.

Christian Counselors and Pastoral Caregivers are called to give their service to the sick and elderly and help them as needed.  During this Holiday Season, we can all help the sick and elderly with charity, donations and time.

This is a good article about caring for the dying and elderly and is good for counselors and those in ministry to review

If you are interested in taking Christian Counseling courses or leaning more about pastoral thanatology, then please review the program.  The program in Pastoral Thanatology consists of core courses that upon completion, allow the qualified professional to become certified.  The same procedure follows path with the Christian Counseling Program.  Both programs have certifications that last three years which are then renewed.
