Retirement Stress and How to Manage It.

When I began teaching stress management more than 30 years ago, I wondered if interest would eventually wane as it does for fads.

American Institute Health Care Professionals‘s insight:

What is Retirement Stress?

As retirement approaches everyone seems to think that stress will retire with the job.   The truth is stress does not retire.  It just comes from different sources.

Retirement stress can come from a number of areas.  From a huge change in lifestyle to a reduction in income can all trigger stress.   This is why retired adults should learn how to manage stress.

Dealing with stress is easy when you are use to it.   However these new sources of stress can be especially troubling.   Teaching stress management techniques can be extremely helpful.    Because your retirement is about sitting back and enjoying yourself, not stressing over it.
