Being thankful can lead to a deeper spirituality.  By the very nature of thankfulness we are opening ourselves to something higher or at least in the moment, in a place of higher power than ourselves.  Thankfulness is key to spirituality and Thanksgiving allows us to be thankful to God for all of our needs.
