Stress is person’s response to a stressor such as environmental conditions, problems, shouldering a huge workload, taking care about your family, the necessity of making ends meet or just stimulus. That is how our body reacts to a challenge.
So when we face with challenge out hypothalamus sets off an alarm system in our body. And our body makes adrenal glands release a surge of hormones, such as adrenalin and cortisol. These two things help our organism to find the best way out from stress situations and do it as quick as possible. So just imagine that adrenaline helps to increase your heart rate, elevate blood pressure and, of course, boost energy supplies. And cortisol, which is the primary stress hormone, at that very time, supplies your brain with glucose by increasing the level of sugars in your bloodstream.
As you see nature provides us with very efficient instrument in order to resist to stresses. In out every day life small amount of stress makes us to be in excellent shape and achieve our goals and make constant progress.
