NFORMATION

The American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc., has an online program of continuing education courses which, when completed, qualifies for participants to apply for and receive a SUB-SPECIALTY Certification in Health and Wellness Promotion Consulting.

The requirements for the Sub-Specialty Certification are:

1. Candidates must have current certification as a Health Care Life Coach by the American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc.

2. Complete the three core courses for the Sub-Specialty Certification in Health and Wellness Promotion Consulting. Course information provided below.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CURRICULUM

The following continiuing education courses in Wellness and Health Promtion must be successfully completed in order to receive the sub-specialty certification.

All of the required courses are by distance education, and can be taken from anywhere in the world.

Candidates have two full years from the date of enrollment in the first course to complete all three of the CE courses for certification.

1. LC 520: Health & Wellness consulting I

This introductory course will allow the student to gain insight into the basic components of preventative medicine including Nutrition, Exercise and Stress Management. The main focus of the course is health maintenance and optimal wellness of body, mind and spirit through evidence-based techniques and therapies. As the vast majority of chronic illness is directly related to lifestyle choices, this course offers students the basic tools to prevent and reverse morbidity. This is a comprehensive course and students will learn foundational principles in health and wellness that can be taught to clients for their incorporation into their own life health care plans. Course Code: LC 520. Contract hours of education: 40 hours. Course Fee: $ 200.00

2. LC 530: Health & Wellness consulting II

This intermediate course is the follow-up to Health & Wellness Consulting I and expands into additional topics in Preventative Medicine including Healthy Relationships, Human Sexuality, Healthy Pregnancies, Infectious Disease, and Preventing Lifestyle Diseases such as Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease. Symptoms of preveleant disease are reviewed. Course Code: LC 530. Contact hours of education = 40.

2. LC 540: Health & Wellness consulting III

This final course in the Health & Wellness Consulting section further delves into the topics of Preventative Medicine. Topics to be reviewed include drug and alcohol usage,
smoking cessation, balancing conventional and alternative medicines, avoiding accidents and violence, healthful aging, and environmental health. Course Code: LC 540. Contact hours of education = 40.
