Information

Many state boards of nursing will accept continuing education contact hours earned through an approved provider of continuing education from another state board of nursing. This is generally referred to as "reciprocity." Many states will accept CE contact hours from an approved provider by the Nursing State Boards of Florida and the District of Columbia.

To serve our continuing education students better, we have conducted our own survey. Of the states that do require mandatory CE for nurses for re licensure, the following states would accepted our CE courses, based on our current board of nursing approvals as an approved provider of continuing education:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, and West Virginia.

If you have any questions regarding whether your particular State's Board of Nursing will accept our contact hours for purposes of re-licensure, please contact your board of nursing and provide them with the appropriate information, that we are an approved provider of continuing education by the boards of nursing of Florida and the District of Columbia. It is each participant's responsibility to know and ascertain the CE requirements for their state. Also, state board of nursing rules/regulations regarding what is accepted CE for re licensure may change over time.
