Children develop in every way through life, grief is no exception. Child grief is usually first experienced with the loss of a fish or small pet, but some children may suffer more with traumatic losses.
While understanding of death develops with each child over time, it is critical that during their development, they are guided by loving adults who understand grief and how it develops with children.
One of the biggest issues is ignoring the grief or passing on your own bad grieving habits
Child grief counselors can also help guide you and your child through whatever grief you may be experiencing.
